In its initial phase the Granfondo course will roll through the inner area of Palmela’s Municipality, within the famous vineyards heading then to Serra da Arrábida, with de Mountain Prize to be disputed at the highest point to the climb of Convento da Arrábida.

Then, the cyclist must face the climb of “Necessidades Velhas” known since the First Edition as “The Wall”. This year the big new in Granfondo da Arrábida is the gravel road sector with 5Km, which links the Vale dos Barris to the Capela das Necessidades taking lead to the last difficulty of the day, the last three Kms until the hard climb to the Castle of Palmela.

Initially through the vineyards of the inner area of Palmela’s Municipality, at the same time as the Granfondo course, the athletes of the Mediofondo will dispute the Mountain Prize at the highest point to the climb to Convento da Arrábida.

With the approach to the finish line, the cyclist must face the climb to “Necessidades Velhas”, known as “The Wall” and to finish the race, the climb of three Kms which will lead to the finish line in the Castle of Palmela.

Together with the bigger races, the Minifonfo, will roll throughout the inner area of Pamela’s Municipality, within its famous vineyards, finding the last three climbing Kms to the finish line in the Castle of Palmela.
